ZZ4-Powered 1971 Chevrolet Nova Coupe

This 1971 Chevrolet Nova coupe underwent a refurbishment in the 2010s and was inherited by its current owner in 2023. It’s powered by a ZZ4 350ci V8 engine paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The restoration included repainting the body in blue and updating the interior with black cloth upholstery. Key features include a black vinyl roof, 15″ Weld Racing wheels, a Hurst shifter, aftermarket auxiliary gauges, and a Pioneer CD stereo system. The vehicle is currently listed for sale in Virginia on behalf of the owner and comes with a North Carolina title.

The car was previously refinished in metallic blue and features a black vinyl roof, chrome bumpers, SS and 454 badging, and SS-style grille, hood, and tail panel. The seller mentions a crease and paint crack on the trunk.

The 15″ Weld Racing aluminum wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, sized 215/70 at the front and 245/60 at the rear. The braking system includes power-assisted front discs and rear drums, with the shocks having been replaced in 2019.

Inside, the Nova features black cloth seats with vinyl accents and is equipped with air conditioning and lap belts. The Pioneer CD stereo, which includes a remote control, is connected to speakers in the rear parcel shelf.

The dashboard hosts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and an analog clock. Additionally, a Sunpro tachometer is mounted on the steering column, with AutoMeter Ultra-Lite gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature positioned below the dash. The five-digit odometer reads 33k miles, though the total mileage is unknown. The seller notes that the aftermarket tachometer and clock are non-functional.

The ZZ4 350ci V8 engine was installed by a previous owner, along with a Howe Racing Enterprises aluminum radiator. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission, operated by a Hurst floor-mounted Quarter Stick shifter. The car also features a replacement dual exhaust system.
