A rescued turkey and rescued dog are very happy to have been saved by their mom. Minnow the dog was saved from a Korean dog meat farm and is best friends with Blossom, a turkey saved from an industrial turkey farm when she was just 5 weeks old.
Although Blossom was uncertain about her new home at first, as soon as she was introduced to Minnow, she relaxed.
One of the first things Blossom did was take over Minnow’s bed. But being a good friend, Minnow didn’t have a problem with that.
It was love at first sight.
When Blossom grew up, her mom thought she would do well at a farm surrounded by other farm animals. But Blossom didn’t do well at the farm. She really missed her best friend. So, Blossom came back home.
Now Minnow and Blossom take naps together.
They like to lounge around the home.
Blossom likes to steal Minnow’s toys – especially the flamingo.
Sometimes the pair go for walks outside together.
When it snows they admire the beauty, but aren’t so sure they want to go outside.
But they’re happy to go out to play when neighbors come by.
They also welcomed new addition Rosie the turkey, although Minnow isn’t so sure that the feathered-dogs aren’t eating her breakfast.
The two couldn’t be more grateful to be together and with their family – an example for all of us to embrace the day and be thankful for what we have.
