The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro known as “VALKYRJA,” at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas

Ringbrothers unveiled its latest design, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro known as “VALKYRJA,” at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The 890-horsepower muscle car has been developed using the latest technology, including 3D scanning, CAD design, and more. The car was assembled with modern materials such as carbon fibre, while the custom parts were created using a combination of 3D printing and CNC machining.

A 416-cubic-inch 6.8L V8 Wegner Motorsports LS3 with a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger sits under the “VALKYRJA” hood that enables the mill to produce 890 hp (664 kW / 902 PS).The transmission is a Tremec six-speed Bowler that has been reworked to support maximum horsepower. The chassis and suspension are from Detroit Speed Engineering, and the 9-inch rear end from John’s Industries helps put the power to the ground.

“We try to outdo ourselves every year, and this design has been no different,” said Mike Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers. “This design was unlike anything we’ve tried before, both in design and execution. The result is a car with a classic look but thoroughly modern pillars, materials and technology. It’s the perfect blend of style and performance.”

Ringbrothers sponsors have provided the best products in the industry for this no-frills build. The Flowmaster Stainless Steel Super 44 Series exhaust adds a roar to the engine’s tone, while Prestone coolant maintains engine temperature even under tough driving conditions. The paint is a custom BASF mix called TOTOPKG Green and is sprayed onto an object prepared with 3M products. Motul’s engine and gear oils keep your engine and transmission running flawlessly in all conditions.

The name “VALKYRJA” is derived from the Old Norse spelling of Valkyrie, which refers to the mythical female characters who choose soldiers who live and who die in battle. Soldiers chosen by Valkyrie were said to have been taken to Valhalla in the afterlife. The name was chosen by the Belgian owner who will take over after the Sima show.

Many of the parts featured in this build are available for sale on the Ringbrothers website. Universal door handles, window levers and gear shift knob are immediately available. Other parts are still under development.
