Rottweiler Found With Nose And Ears Savagely Cut Off Finds Forever Family

It was a sight that horrified even the most veteran dog rescuers. The Michigan Humane Society rescued a Rottweiler mix who was found wandering the streets of Detroit with his nose and ears cut off.

“It appears that someone purposely maimed this poor dog, which has caused it a great deal of suffering,” MHS said in a Facebook post. The dog now named Baron was found near Livernois and Warren on Detroit’s southwest side on Tuesday January 17, 2017. MHS came and saved him after someone called to report seeing the injured dog.

Baron was taken to MHS’s excellent animal care center to be treated for his injuries. His vet said, “Baron is doing remarkably well considering his injuries.” He’s currently stable and on pain medication and antibiotics.

Here’s the latest Facebook video from MHS, giving the latest update on Baron.

Since news has broken about poor Baron the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible has grown from $2,500 to $11,200 dollars.

In their latest update on the investigation, MHS says they have received numerous tips and are continuing to canvas the neighborhood in which Baron was found.
