Daisy the dog was first spotted by Susan Hilden running for her life in a field in an urban neighborhood. Susan contacted her friend with Hollister Animal Lost and Found Animals Facebook page and they learned that Daisy had run away from home just two days after she was adopted from the local shelter. She roamed for two and a half months. Susan and her friend fed Daisy, but they couldn’t catch her.
That’s when they turned to 6-year-old Meghan Topping for help. Meghan and her mom regularly foster dogs and had been the family who fostered Daisy before she was adopted from the shelter.
Meghan goes out with her mom and the rescuers to an open grass field where Daisy was “living”. Just watch what happens the moment Meghan approaches Daisy at 2:06! She knew exactly what to do and the little girl earns Daisy’s trust in no time.
That’s not even the best part. Watch the rest of Daisy’s amazing rescue story in the news video below.
Thanks to these wonderful people Daisy is getting a wonderful happy ending!
