by Ellie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was out in the garden with her human when they found a rabbit nest. Sadly, the mother rabbit had died and she had left behind babies.
At first, Ellie was curious about the babies and soon after began to mother them. As soon as she did, the bunnies began feeling comfortable enough to start eating properly.
From that point forward, Ellie was very protective of her adoptive charges and looked after them while they were nursed back to health.
