One-Family-Owned 1957 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Hardtop

This 1957 Chevrolet 210 two-door hardtop reportedly has a rich history, having been originally purchased new in Sacramento, California by a family member of the current seller. The vehicle was later gifted to the seller by the original owner’s daughter in 1997. Around the year 2000, it underwent a refurbishment and now features a 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 engine paired with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. The car is elegantly finished in coral and white, complemented by a white and gray interior. Key features include 14″ wheels with hubcaps, whitewall tires, and a heater. The car is being offered with black California license plates, refurbishment photos, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean California title under the seller’s name.

Originally finished in two-tone India Ivory and Canyon Coral (817C) at the factory, the car was stripped to bare metal and refinished in coral and white using two-stage PPG paint during its refurbishment, according to the seller. The exterior features classic design elements like twin wind splits, hooded headlights, a driver-side mirror, tinted glass, a concealed fuel filler above the left taillight, chrome bumpers, trim, and black rubber pads on the front bumper. An expired registration slip in the accompanying gallery shows the car was registered with its included black California license plates as far back as 1968.

The vehicle rides on body-color 14″ wheels with bright hubcaps and 205/70 Michelin whitewall tires, with braking handled by front and rear drums.

The interior, redone with replacement materials during the refurbishment, includes a split-folding front bench seat upholstered in white vinyl and patterned gray cloth. Other interior features include an analog clock, cabin heater, locking glovebox, vent windows, a dome light, and floor mats.

The two-spoke steering wheel, equipped with a chrome horn ring, frames a 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer reads 71k miles, with approximately 600 miles added by the seller.

The 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 is equipped with a Rochester two-barrel carburetor, and the oil was last changed in mid-2023. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a rebuilt two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The vehicle’s underside can be viewed in the video gallery provided.

Additional photos of the refurbishment process are also available in the gallery.
