Ashley Boggs has been rescuing dogs for a long time, and she considers it her life’s work. She once saw a helpless, brown dog pleading for assistance as she was travelling down a Puerto Rican rural road.
This particular stray dog was doing differently from other strays that often hide in the bushes or meander down a busy road without any intent — it seemed like she was frantically attempting to communicate with Boggs!
Momma Dog Asking for Just One Thing
Fortunately, New Yorker Boggs, who works at Miracles for Satos Rescue, came just in time to save the day!
There were two additional puppies sheltering in the remote location, in addition to the mother dog, who was eventually given the name Goji.
The three were immediately cordial, and Boggs had no trouble loading them into her car. She decided she had to return to the forested area to look a bit closer after hearing additional puppy cries there.
Finally, Boggs located four additional puppies who were hiding next to the crate they had been abandoned in. Until she was able to fit all seven of them in the back of her car, this kind volunteer with a huge heart labored nonstop.
The Berry family made time savings
Boggs and the rest of the crew saw to it that this stray family had all the care they required after she eventually transported them to the clinic. They all needed food and a new beginning, and they got both of those things!
The puppies were extremely fortunate that Boggs found them since Boggs works for Miracles for Satos Rescue, an organization that rescues and relocates dogs from Puerto Rico to New York in order to assist them find a permanent home.
All of them were taken to a foster home, where they began to socialize with other dogs and pick up some fundamental puppy manners.
The mother, Goji, was the most devoted dog in the world, therefore she had no problem adjusting to new situations!
“She is the finest dog ever. Every dog and everyone she encounters are loved by her. She enjoys pats and cuddles and will do tricks for food, according to a post on the MFSR team’s Facebook page.
Raspberry, Blueberry, Gooseberry, Cloudberry, Blackberry, and Strawberry were given to the remaining puppies.
The MFSR team claimed, “We called them after berries since we gathered them from the bushes.
A Fresh Beginning
“She loves going for walks but her favorite place in the world is on her favorite person’s lap. GOJI is definitely a volunteer favorite because she is an absolute sweet heart. She brings joy to the world everyday,” the MFSR wrote.
Not too long after their rescue, the Berry family found their furever families and they couldn’t be happier!
Once abandoned and left at the mercy of the wilderness, these pawdorable furballs are now enjoying life in their new homes!
