Injured Mastiff Trapped In L.A. River Happily Reunites With Out-Of-State Family

Over the summer, Hope For Paws received an urgent call from a tourist who spotted an injured dog stranded in the L.A. River near Santa Monica. The dog was a giant Mastiff. She had an injured front leg and was in obvious pain. When she noticed Eldad Hagar filming her, the dog got up and limped away.

But shortly after, Eldad had managed to capture her and with assistance from Los Angeles Fire Department was able to lift her to safety. When she was scanned for a microchip they learned her name is Tinkerbell. They also shockingly discovered she was from Arizona!

It turns out Tinkerbell had gotten scared by the 4th of July fireworks and run away. Her family had been unable to find her, but weeks later she was in safe hands. The family immediately rushed to be reunited with her.
