Husky Dog Helps Man Detect That He Has Cancer In Unusual Way

Usually, when a dog detects cancer in someone, they signal to an area on a person’s body or that person has a sharp pain that warns them something is wrong. In the case of Michael DiZoglio, however, it was his father’s energetic Husky jumping on him that signalled to him that he should go to the doctor.

Mickey is a large dog and always greets Michael by jumping on him when he comes over to visit. The big’s dog hugs sometimes hurt a bit, given his size and enthusiasm.

“One time he jumped on me from the right and I didn’t feel any pain…and I thought it should have hurt,” DiZoglio told CBS Denver. “I didn’t feel anything.”

The 27-year-old was bothered by the numbness, so he set up a visit with his doctor and after several tests he learned he had testicular cancer.

He was completely shocked, but he is grateful that his regular playful cuddles with Mickey set him on the path to treatment.

It’s certainly not your typical dog detects cancer story, but it’s one that helped DiZoglio detect his cancer early!
