1966 CHEVROLET IMPALA

What a stunning Impala with Super Sport trim, a distinctive color, and an aggressive stance! It’s loaded with a powerful 496 stroker engine and a 4-speed transmission, along with modern comforts like air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and power disc brakes. It has been beautifully restored, and a thick folder of receipts is included.

EXTERIOR: The profile of this car is simply captivating with its voluptuous curves. The heavy doors open smoothly without sagging and close effortlessly, reminiscent of a new car. The Artesian turquoise paint is a striking color, polished to a glossy and reflective finish. A custom cowl induction flapper from a Chevelle was tastefully added to the stock hood, functioning perfectly. All the chrome shines brilliantly, and new wheel well moldings have been installed. The bumpers have been refinished, the windshield replaced, and the remaining glass, although original, only shows minor scratches. All windows have new weatherstripping and dual side mirrors featuring the bow tie logo. The Boss wheels, sized 18×8 in front and 18×9 in the back, look great and are fitted with performance tires.

INTERIOR: The interior boasts several desirable features. The restored dash now includes sleek Dakota digital gauges and electric slide climate controls. A retro stereo fits into the factory slot, connected to 6×9 speakers in the back. An Ididit tilt column with a thick walnut steering wheel has been installed. The seats have new reproduction upholstery, and the factory console, featuring a correct chrome 4-speed shifter, is in excellent condition. The door panels and armrests are new, and the power window switches are a nice touch. The carpet is in good condition, and the car has a complete set of factory seat belts. The headliner, visors, and mirror have been replaced, and all interior lights are functional.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood, the heart of this beast is a big block 496 stroker engine equipped with a Comp Cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock intake, Holley 750 carb, MSD ignition system, and ceramic coated headers. It features factory-style chrome valve covers and an air cleaner. The engine bay includes modern upgrades like a Vintage Air heat and air conditioning system, hydro boost power brakes and steering, a new alternator, and functional squirters and horns. A four-core aluminum radiator with an electric fan and an engine fan ensures it stays cool. Overall, the engine compartment looks clean and well-maintained.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk lid and jamb are nicely painted, and the interior is solid metal with a spatter finish and a reproduction mat. It comes with a good spare tire and a working trunk light.

UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension appear to have been completely rebuilt recently, with new springs and shocks in the rear. It features a custom exhaust system with stainless electric dumps that divert the exhaust to straight pipes on each side, while full-size cherry bomb mufflers route it all the way out the back. The brake system has been rebuilt and upgraded with discs in front, with replaced lines and a functional e-brake. The fuel tank, straps, and sending unit have been replaced. The engine has been upgraded with an anodized extra capacity oil pan and a high torque starter. It has a rebuilt M-20 Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. The floors are rock solid with a thin undercoating, and the frame is clean with a semi-gloss black finish.

SERVICE: We inspected the car, made adjustments to the rearview mirror and console, replaced the antenna, and serviced the master cylinder.

Experience full-size fun! Open those exhaust dumps and shift gears for a thrilling ride! Raise the power windows and turn on the A/C to stay cool!
