Major is presently traveling with his new owner.
Nothing beats the moment a pet is adopted by an animal shelter, particularly if they have been with them for a long period. When that day arrived for a dog called Major, who had spent a year at a shelter after being saved from euthanasia, it was a genuine cause for joy.
Major and his brother Hilo were rescued from animal control in Quincy, Illinois, according to ABC Chicago. They were apparently on the verge of being killed when they were saved by the Naperville Area Humane Society.
Both canines struggled to find homes after being brought in by the shelter. After a year, no one was interested in adopting. Major was characterized as active, enthusiastic, and treat-motivated by the humane society, but he should not be kept with small children, cats, or other dogs.
Despite the chances against him, the shelter believed Major might find a home someplace. They even dedicated a holiday after him, “Major’s Day,” and used it to highlight their long-term shelter canines in need of homes.
Major is seen leaving the shelter with his new owner, who is supposedly a semi-truck driver, towards the conclusion of the film. Major climbs into the truck, embarking on a new journey that will take him across the nation.
NAHS said in a statement that they “couldn’t be more excited to celebrate another long term resident walking out the doors.”
“We’re excited to see where the road takes you, Major.”
We are overjoyed that Major has been adopted! We wish him a happy life going across the nation with his new owner.
