1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

This 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, recently acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, has undergone several updates, including the replacement of the transmission mount, carburetor A/C idle solenoid, and valve cover gaskets. The car boasts a metallic orange finish complemented by a tan vinyl roof and a matching tan interior. It is powered by a 305ci V8 engine paired with a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Notable features include 15″ silver Rallye-style wheels, a custom dual exhaust system, power-assisted front disc brakes, swiveling front bucket seats, air conditioning, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio. Previously sold on BaT in May 2021, this Monte Carlo is currently offered by the dealer in Florida, complete with the manufacturer’s literature, 1977-dated dealer inspection and warranty paperwork, and a clean Iowa title.

The car’s metallic orange exterior features a vinyl roof, color-matched side mirrors, polished exhaust finishers, and chrome bumpers and trim. The photo gallery below highlights some paint chips, scratches, and corrosion on the rocker panel.

The 15″ silver Rallye-style wheels, equipped with chrome trim rings and Chevrolet center caps, are fitted with 235/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The vehicle also includes power steering, with power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums managing the braking.

Inside, the tan-upholstered seats and door panels are accented by a brown dashboard, center console, and carpeting. Interior highlights include swiveling front bucket seats, woodgrain trim, air conditioning, an analog clock, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio.

The woodgrain-trimmed two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge, with the five-digit odometer showing 39k miles.

The 305ci V8 engine, originally rated at 145 horsepower, has received recent maintenance, including the replacement of the carburetor A/C idle solenoid and valve cover gaskets, along with an oil change in preparation for the sale.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The car also features a dual exhaust system, and the transmission mount was replaced in 2024.
