1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS/SS

EXTERIOR:

Behold the resplendent visage of this automobile! The Magnetic Red paint is simply mesmerizing, and the bodywork is impeccable. Every line is precise, and the car exudes a pristine aura with no hint of rust or damage. The doors close with the precision of a brand-new vehicle. The front and rear spoilers, coupled with the Rally Sport package, add a touch of flair. This includes manually operated hideaway headlights. Repainted in 2010, this car was originally adorned in Garnet Red but now gleams with an enchanting Magnetic Red. The metallic flake is meticulously applied, and the clear coat shines with a glass-like finish. The hockey stick stripes are seamlessly smooth. The black-painted tail panel signifies an SS 396. All chrome and trim glisten brilliantly. The exterior trim package, including rain gutters, wheel well moldings, and quarter panel louvers, enhances its allure. The weatherstrips and seals are in superb condition. The vinyl top has been replaced, and the SS wheels have been restored, now sporting BFG tires.

INTERIOR:

The interior is in remarkable condition, showing no signs of abuse. The plastic trim, moldings, dash area, and heater control panel are pristine. The seats have been reupholstered, and the carpet, door panels, and headliner appear as new. It retains the original seatbelts. A retro stereo fits perfectly in the factory slot, and vintage gauges are mounted below the dash with a tachometer on the steering column.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT:

The illustrious L-78 396 engine, producing 375 horsepower, is a marvel. This one features a CE warranty block, maintaining its original big port heads and factory-matched aluminum intake. The Holley carburetor has been upgraded to a 770 Street Avenger, and it includes a set of headers. Rebuilt in 2018, the engine has only 2,000 miles since. It boasts correct chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Everything is clean and precise, complete with power brakes and new power steering. The engine bay is complete with the correct fan shroud, hooked-up washers, and hood insulation.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT:

The trunk lid and jamb are painted to match the car’s sleek exterior. Inside, the metal is solid and covered with a tidy spatter finish, clear-coated for durability. It contains a fifth matching SS wheel and BFG tire as a spare, along with a complete jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE:

The front end suspension appears to have been rebuilt, with fresh shocks, springs, and bushings. The steering system has been completely upgraded with rack and pinion. The rear features replaced leaf springs, bushings, and shocks, along with traction bars. The upgraded stainless steel exhaust includes Cherry Bomb mufflers. The brakes function flawlessly, with disc brakes in the front and a connected e-brake. The engine appears fresh, as does the original Turbo 400 automatic transmission, still bearing its 1969 tag. A 12-bolt rear end completes the setup. The floors are original, solid metal.

SERVICE:

Our inspection led to the replacement of door lock cylinders. The headlight doors are manually operated. This car is extraordinary! Upon inspection, the unabused condition and 50,000 original miles are evident. The features and the color are truly impressive. Wait until you see it in person.
