1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan 5-Speed

This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door sedan underwent an extensive refurbishment and modification in 2015, according to the vendor, who acquired the vehicle in 2024. The powerhouse of this classic car is a 350ci V8 engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It boasts a striking red and white exterior complemented by a custom red cloth interior. Enhancements include a Hurst shifter, a digital stereo system, tinted windows, an aluminum intake manifold, a Quick Fuel Technology carburetor, MSD ignition components, Hooker exhaust headers, front disc brakes, and 17″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. Currently, this Bel Air sedan is being offered in Pennsylvania, complete with a clean Ohio title.

The bodywork, reportedly re-finished in red and white approximately a decade ago, features LED lighting, tinted windows, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.

Polished 17″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are fitted with 215/50 and 275/40 Sumitomo tires. The front suspension has been upgraded with drop spindles, cross-drilled front disc brakes, and new front coil springs and rear leaf springs.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find front bucket seats upholstered in patterned red cloth that extends to the door panels and rear trim panels. The seller notes the installation of an American Autowire harness. Other features include a digital stereo system, a Hurst shifter, aftermarket speakers, a cabin heater, lap belts, and rubberized floor mats.

The aftermarket steering wheel frames Dolphin gauges, including a 140-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer displays 5k miles, with approximately 50 miles added under the current ownership. The total mileage remains unknown.

The 350ci V8 engine, reportedly installed in 2015, comes equipped with cast iron cylinder heads featuring 2.02″ intake valves, an Edelbrock camshaft and intake manifold, a Quick Fuel Technology carburetor, MSD ignition components, and custom valve covers. Hooker headers direct the exhaust through a dual system with Flowmaster mufflers. Additional components include an aluminum radiator, an electric cooling fan, an Optima battery, and a polished alternator.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission.
